I"m Eight Years Old Today!!

Today, November 17th is my birthday! I'm so happy it's my birthday. I've had pretty much the best birthday ever!!
I got a barbie with a puggle, two stuffed animal dogs, one's a Jack Russell and one is a Pug. I love them both.
See me in the picture holding the two 4's on my head, my grammy got me that shirt. My other grandma got me a beautiful purple and black sweater dress and a pink sweater. My grandma Reynolds made me an apron that is so cute. Chee Chee and Grandpa Many got me a super cute purple bag that I can bring to sleep overs or on an air plane.
Tonight we're going to a Mexican place. My friends and family are coming, like Uncle Justin and Aunt Kat and my friend El. Um, I'm really happy that it's my birthday, I've had so much fun.

My brother's birthday is next...we're keeping the Happy Birthday banner up in the living room because his day is so soon.

Best Party Ever

Today I had the BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY in the year except it wasn't really my REAL birthday it's more like a party for when my birthday IS.
We all walked to my house from school because my mom's car can't fit everybody in there. When we got home we ate a snack and then we went downstairs to watch Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure. I had four friends come over.

After the movie we made shrinky dinks and I had the biggest shrinky dink
After shrinky dinks we opened presents. I got the most awesome barbie on earth she came with a pug dog. I named the dog Polly. I also got a shoulder bag that I've always wanted and I can decorate this one. One of my friends got me a dog that looks exactly like Tank and Penny.My mama let me open a present from one of my grandparents even though it wasn't my real birthday. I was freaking out. The sweater shirt is so cool I had to put it on right away.

I can't wait until my real birthday. We are going to have a family dinner at a Mexican restaurant. I love Mexican food.

Happy, Happy

Happy Halloween Everybody (and happy birthday to Uncle Scott!!!).
This is my costume for today. I'm a day of the dead skeleton.
We had a party yesterday. We got to stay up pretty late watching a movie. We also played video games and ate food, then went back downstairs and watched Frankenstein...it was not too scary.
This is the pumpkin I carved with my mom. I didn't carve it, my mom carved but I designed it.

Faces

Hi Everyone. I am feeling much better. I think I will probably go back to school tomorrow. I have more energy today and am feeling like being a little silly:


These are my spooky faces Um, if you start sobbing because it's so scary and running away and fainting, or closing your eyes, it's OK, I like scary stuff...except for like, CHUCKY, which is horrible. I know about CHUCKY because I went to a Haunted House in California and it was so scary. It had all these scary movie things. We didn't know it was going to be SO scary.
You may think my faces are as scary as CHUCKY (if you know about CHUCKY) which is the worst scary thing on earth.

Don't Know What to Say

I don't feel good. My body. I have a temperature. I've been watching movies and TV and sleeping. My daddy went out and brought me back a whole stack of movies, he brought me 2 Pippy Longstocking movies and Enchanted and the Nightmare Before Christmas and Bolt. I love Bolt. I watched Meet the Robinson's and Pippy Longstocking On Board. I took a long nap in the middle of the day because my mom talked to the nurse and she said that sleeping would make me feel better. I am sleeping downstairs because I'm sick. I really love sleeping in the bed downstairs. It makes me feel better. My mom is going to sleep down here with me tonight.
I don't know what else to say.


**Jen here. I waited on the phone for over an hour to talk with a nurse this morning. After answering her questions she was lead to believe that Hazel has the H1-N1 virus. We're so happy to have the room downstairs so that she can kind of be away from the rest of the family. She's pretty sad but the movies are keeping her spirits up. She's been drinking apple juice and water and wanted some re fried beans earlier today.
The nurse said that the fever could spike up to 104 and that we should call if it goes higher than that (duh). So far her fever has only gone up to 101.
Poor baby girl.

Yesterday and Today

I saw the movie Where the Wild Things Are yesterday because it was my dad's birthday. If you see it and if you have kids then you should, um, your kids might get a little emotional, like I did. And if it's okay, I want to tell you just a little bit about it...the emotional parts...just to give you a heads up:
When the boy and the mother fight, that's the worst part that made me emotional so it's ok if you close your kids eyes. And when he leaves the monsters? It's not like how I was picturing it. I was picturing him jumping off a mountain and landing in his boat and sailing away and I was picturing the monsters ALL to be howling at the top of the cliff. But instead, the main monster was so saaaad because the boy was leaving and all the other monsters knew about it, he lied to them (about being the king) and they got really mad and he crushed something that he worked on soooo hard and that's how sad he was. When he came back running to the beach, the boy was already sailing off in the water. And that's all I'll tell you.
I cried, my brother cried, my dad got teary and I don't know about my mom. My mom says that my brother was making a lot of noise during the movie but I didn't hear him.

Today, I went to the Fall Carnival and that's why the picture is up...I got my face painted. You're probably wondering, "Is it a cat? Is it a dog?" Well, I change it from cat to dog to cat to dog to cat. It was the BEST Fall Carnival. I got Heads (a fake lizard) and Tails (a fake snake). I might even take a picture of them...depending on what my mom says.

There's only one more day to the weekend. I hope you have a good one. I know I will...or I hope I will.

Hair

This picture is from when my cousins Zane and Audrey were visiting and when I still had my tooth but what I reeeeally want you to notice that that I have curly hair! And I know you're probably thinking, "Why would you want me to know that?" well, because on Sunday I had a little beauty treatment and now my hair is STRAIGHT because we ironed my hair!!
First I took a steamy shower, then my mom brushed my hair and used a blow dryer on my hair, which we never do, so that was a special thing. Anyways, after we dried my hair we ironed it and it took a lot of minutes.
So after we dried and ironed my hair, we went to a store called ULTA and gone some nail polish, the kind that isn't shiny. And then we painted my fingers and toes. The colors that we got are purple and light green.
I thought that day was a great, great day because I got the beauty treatment and it was just a really great day. Now I'll show you the picture of me when I have straight hair:

One Day

Today I invited a lot of friends and went to the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. After we did that we got lunch at Taco Time. After we had lunch we came home and I went over to my neighbor's house and then I came back and then, um, then everybody, all my friends had already left. Then I went into my room and drawed a little bit and then I started blogging.

I'm still not feeling as good but I'm feeling a lot better and sometimes one of my friends can get really annoying.
At dinner tonight we're going to have some left overs.
My dad is out of town for the weekend, he left today. I miss him a lot already.

Hey Everybody!

My name is Hazel. I'm in 2nd grade. I have 2 dogs, Tank and Penny. I love them very much.

Today I'm not feeling so great. My throat is hurting and I've been having some headaches. My mom made me some tea this morning and I drank it school but I couldn't finish it cause I didn't have that much to drink it. I didn't go to after school program because I really didn't feel good. My brother and his friend Duncan had soccer today and we picked Duncan up from school and then we dropped them off at soccer. My mom and I went to the dog park and at the dog park we went to the Magnuson dog park and I just wasn't feeling that good and I was cold so my mom gave me her sweater. And I listened to some music on my mom's shuffle.
Right now we're about to eat dinner. My brother is getting out of the shower. He had to take a shower because he just had soccer and he was kinda sweaty and nobody at dinner wants to smell his sweaty smell.
We're getting dinner at New York Pizza. I hope that my dad picks up the pizza because I'm really tired and I don't feel good, which I already told you and I just don't want to walk to it.

I don't know what I'm going to do with this blog. I might put pictures on it, I might tell you songs that I write, I might tell you stories of my life, who knows!
